Mr. DeGroat presently maintains the following securities licenses with FINRA and the SEC: Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65. He has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh. In his current capacity as one of the principals of WhartonHill Advisors, Mr. DeGroat's practice has been nationally recognized for excellence not only in estate and financial planning strategies for high net worth individuals, but also in designing effective solutions for the fiduciary liability attached to "at risk" individuals involved in both qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. He is a 1990 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College. Mr. DeGroat and his family reside in suburban Philadelphia.
